Sorry, Michelle. I had to steal this from your blog so my viewing audience could Be Stilled by this performance. At first I thought this might be in sacrament meeting, (because of the obvious pulpit) but I'm thinking maybe it was in the institute or seminary building? He's not wearing a tie and I've never seen that particular picture on display in a chapel. Anyway, who the heck cares! David Archuletta is singing Be Still My Soul and I love him.
OK, one of the links back to YouTube that comes up when your clip is done is for David playing the piano and singing Michelle Branch's A Thousand Miles. Not as polished as he is after running the Idol gauntlet, but you'd like it... The Be Still performance could perhaps be in a UT Stake Center's Young Women's room, just judging by the artwork behind him. Maybe it was at a youth fireside or something?
Amazing. That makes me fall in love with that song all over again. There was this one missionary in SD who thought he was pretty hot stuff (ended up being sent home early, hmmm....) and he sang Be Still My Soul at a baptism shortly after mine. I have never been able to get his butchering of the song out of my head. Jerry and I always laugh about it, and it's not really a funny song. Ya know?
