The aftermath:
Well, it's back to real life and I'm not sure I want to be here. There's always a little bit of a let down after I've experienced the thing that I've been anticipating. But mostly I'm just not excited to clean my house. That's right. I took two whole days off and didn't clean, aside from a load of laundry here and there and a few dishes. I also didn't cook! But that's good because that would have meant more dishes.
So today this is what my house looks like. I already cleaned the kitchen and made the banana bread (from the bananas that were threatening to dissolve in my fridge). I've also done several loads of laundry and folded a few of them. So, the big work is out of the way. But I thought you might like to see the sacrifice I made (that is, my sanity and a sense of general order and cleanliness) to get my Bellward** fix.
In other news, is anyone ready for the Olympics? I'm so psyched! I love watching people who are so much more motivated and determined than me. It's inspirational.
**I totally just made up the word Bellward. Get it, Bella and Edward. If you see it somewhere else it's a copyright violation!

Bellward.....love it! Oh, and our lives (at night, at least) shut down for 2 weeks when the Olympics are on. We love to watch.
we are watching them right now... i told brian, it would motivate me to work my butt out!
I *heart* Dara Torres.
What's your banana bread recipe? I currently have some dissolving bananas in the fridge as well...
Also, of course I'm watching the Olympics. I'm torn because it half makes me want to get off my butt and go to the gym every time I watch, but the other half of me wants to stay put and watch tv and eat chips and dip all day. Quite the conflicting message, but I'll survive:)
First of all, Lyss, your doctor is a nut if he thinks you're too heavy and gaining too much weight. Doesn't he know the whole thing about muscle weighing more than the same volume of fat? Doesn't he have a clue about what a hard-body you are? Even while pregnant? (Which, btw, TOTALLY makes the rest of us slobs look bad...) I think you could definitely stand to stay on the couch eating chips and dip for a couple of weeks. There is plenty of time between broadcasts for a gym run.
Anna, if your house only ends up looking like that after two days of ignoring it, you're doing fab. Mine pretty much looks like that all the time, even if it seems like I never sit down. How is that possible, you say? It has something to do with the "my treasures" stage that Cannon is going through right now. I started to elaborate, but realized this needs to be a blog entry, so you'll have to check in later to see what I'm talking about. Now I have to go take pictures for illustrative purposes...
