Okay, so we had our camera with us but we had memory card issues. That's why I only came home with pictures of the jumps and karaoke. Here are a few more that I've stolen from my SIL Sara.
If you didn't know it, my husband is part fish. At our last reunion in Colorado he earned his reputation (with my family, anyway...his family knows all about his amphibious tendencies) by immersing himself - for no good reason - in the icy, mountain stream that ran behind our condos. This year he maintained his rep by never letting any body of water pass him by. The man is loco for liquid.
Me and Cambo (rhymes with Rambo...) People I love hanging in mid-air. Chase and Cam on the waterslide.
Ober Gatlinburg was awesome. Particularly the Alpine Slide. If you've never done one, you should! Just maybe not the one in Winter Park, CO. My sis, Lyss, lost her hide on that Alpine Slide.
All of us. How we normally look. The sibs. I'll admit I don't love pics like this now...only because our family feels "naked" without the spouses. I prefer pics with my Siblings-in-law who are so awesome they make me want to start a fan club...
33 people in my family. 33 reasons why being a Kilgore is basically better than being almost anything else...Just sayin'. And our t-shirts? That's a skull and cross banjos logo. Yeah, I know. We're that cool.
Hanging with my main man, B. We'relikethis.

I DIDN'T KNOW YOU GOT TO SEE HIM ON YOUR TRIP!!! NICE!
Dude. We're Kilgores. We've got connections.
You should link Jeni to Sup'a 'Bama so that she can see just how good our connections are.
Thanks for taking my kid on practically everything that I didn't get to go to, btw. At least one of us didn't miss out.
Of course, it would have been difficult to perform the surgery required to separate Huderon/Camson, so you were kind of just stuck with H...
I'm just glad Bird agreed to Buddy with Huddy for Ober Gatlinburg because my Aunt Guilt was eating me alive! I'm glad he didn't have to miss out on THAT!
K- so I'm curious. Your a Dem. and a seemingly well-informed one at that. I'd be interested in your views about the healthcare stuff that Obama would like to pass. I'm sortof in the middle with my opinion but mostly because I don't know tons of details.
Well, I'm an independent who rocked the blue this last year (okay, every year. but I try really hard to stay open. There was almost a whole year when i liked W. For real.).
Anyway, I do believe in a single payer system. I think it can and will work. I don't believe in what's being passed around congress right now. Totally flawed and I think it will end up being a big mess. But a big kudos to Obama for even trying, is my take on it. I do think that government run healthcare can be successful if it's done correctly. And there are all sorts of people out there who have the know-how and expertise to put it into play. The only problem is they are all stuck in universities somewhere, not on The Hill. So the tricky part will be figuring out how to find/tap those people.
I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon. I just don't think we've found the yellow brick road yet. If what the congress is selling us gets passed we are all going to be in a bad place. I truly believe that. But I don't believe the silly garbage that right wing extremists are trying to shove down our throats about why gov't healthcare would be terrible.
I could go on forever. Just watch this and you'll basically see how I feel about the matter (yes it's PBS, so i get that there's a bias there, but it's good stuff).
If the link doesn't work correctly, just look up Bill Moyers Journal from July 24, 2009.

I haven't visited the link yet. With that said, AND since it's not my blog AND since nobody asked me also too, I'd like to add that ...
The "discussions" at town meetings are totally insane. People are screaming and flipping out about propaganda. Untruths. Half-truths. I forget where I saw this, I believe on the Today show this morning whilst drying my hair, a graphic on support of "Obama's" health care plan. People opposed the plan somewhere in the 55-60% range, as I recall. They were citing reasons that were not based in fact, as determined by independent fact checkers. When facts were presented to the same group of people, 55% supported the plan.
Things still need work. Lots of things. But to shut down the entire discussion by screaming about socialism (say what you will about Social Security and Medicare but I'd be willing to bet there'd be a way bigger stink if we tried to get rid of those two "socialist" programs than any kind of rukus we could ever imagine over this health care debate) and how "Obama's" plan tries to kill off granny (and other fun "facts") is such an injustice to our country. I just hate that. Hate. It.
Yes, the devil is in the details, but let's try to agree on some general concepts so we can get to the details.
Amen.
And I'm just going to slink quietly back to Facebook so it doesn't get all ugly up in here...
Your fam is so fun, Anna! Glad you you had such a fun time! Even more flad you guys are back. It was sad there for a while with you and Jeni gone.
