So I just have to share my pride with everyone. Last week my friend issued a challenge to all of her blog readers (she's a personal trainer and keeps a health and fitness blog). She challenged us to run either a full or half marathon distance during this week. At 2 months post-partum she chose to run the full marathon distance. Did I mention she's a personal trainer? I, on the other hand, chose to run the half marathon distance. It wasn't a HUGE stretch since I've been running about 9 miles a week for the past month or so, but it was a good challenge. I started out Monday morning by whipping out a 2.5 mile run before hitting the Memorial Day breakfast at my in-laws ward. Wednesday I put in a solid 3 mile run (incorporating speedwork to boot). Friday was 3.77 miles and this morning at 6 AM I hit the ground running for a 4 mile run. I loved every minute of it, and I'm super proud of myself! It has been HARD trying to fit in exercise with three very young children, one of whom still doesn't think sleeping is cool. But I've been trying really hard over the last month to make it a priority and it's fun to see the pay-off. I never would have been able to run 13 miles in one week if Kelly challenged me 6 weeks ago! So yeah, I'm being bold and patting myself on the back and sharing it with the world wide web. I rock!

Want to come run the 5K in my triathlon in 2 weeks? I'm sucking at any kind of training that takes place outside the pool. And I must mention that I saw a poolside photo of you over on Jeni's blog and you look fabulous, so the running is paying off. Good for you!

You go girl! Did I tell you a took up running? I've done a marathon, two half marathons, and a 5K in the past 7 months. i think spreading the half marathon out over a week sounds great though!! Perhaps I'll try that this week! I'm so proud of you for keeping yourself in shape with 3 kids! It's great for anyone- physically AND MENTALLY!!!!!

OK, so I'm apologizing for my post because I really sounded prideful. I need to stop that. I guess, since I stay at home and find mopping my floors once a week a real accomplishment, I have really become excited about my running. Please forgive my lack of humility. I'm a jerk. You rock. You rock. You rock!!!

How exactly are you fitting this in? I mean, specifically. Because I need to figure it out for myself. I can't seem to get all three boys to a point where they're all in a mood to go for a walk at the same time, let alone actually go running BY MYSELF. Seriously - how do you do that?????

And the pics of sweet Sophie from the other recent blog are just too adorable. I could stare at the big grin and that head bow all day. The boys got a kick out of seeing their cousins dancing in the rain in their underwear (AGAIN). Tee Hee! So did I...

That's really wonderful. I have already set a goal to lose some weight after this baby is born. Since I have only gained 9 pounds I should be below my birthweight leaving the hospital. You inspire me. I need ot at least walk everyday.
