80's 80's Please Go Away

...And don't come again any other day.

Am I the only one who is sick to death of being forced to relive elementary/middle school? Or, maybe high school depending on the reader? Seriously, fluorescent colors weren't flattering the first time around. Neither were skinny jeans, colored plastic sunglasses or high tops with purple laces. Very few people look hot in a pair of leggings and trapeze top. And while I wish I could pull off the one shoulder ripped-neck sweatshirt (because Flash Dance is STILL a good movie), I can't. And guess what? You can't either.

Last week I went to the mall BY MYSELF FOR MY BIRTHDAY and was hurt and disappointed to find FLORALS making a comeback. Really? Is that necessary?

I just want everyone to start dressing like real people again.

image These were described as "funky fresh."

image Kilgores, remember the awesome Lion print mom and dad had above the fireplace in Cali?

image No words.

image Look! A bodysuit! CLASS-TASTIC!

image These were listed with the bodysuit under "You might also be interested in..." You betcha I'm interested!

image FLORRRRRRRRRALLLLLLS!

image Kelly Bundy anyone?

image Yes. That IS an electric blue high waisted mini you're looking at.

image Seriously, I could go on..............

note: flats can stay FORRRR-EVVVV-ERRRR.

I just want to say to these people, "Dudes, we are MORTIFIED when we look back at our middle school/high school days. Someday, you'll realize how ridiculous you look and put the 80s to rest again, but pictures last forever. FOREVER. I swear, you will thank me someday."

And what scares me even more than 80s making a comeback? The thought that the 90s comeback isn't far behind (e.g. a bodysuit under a flannel shirt...yikes).

I'm not wearing a high-waisted, tight-fitting, floral-patterned anything!

I will have you know that Bird bought Emma a pair of skinny jeans, and she is in fact wearing them today, and they are in fact, STINKING CUTE! They are baggy on her, but still:) Now...what's the cut off age for these fashions, when they turn from cute and adorable to hideous?

Oh, Soph has some skinny jeans and they are adorable.
I don't know about the cutoff age. Definitely if you wore it THE FIRST TIME AROUND you shouldn't imbibe.
-this is anna too lazy to change my sign in name. again.

THANK YOU!

I have gone shopping and come back empty handed several times over the last year because everything is so ugly! Even the little boy styles once you get above size 4 are hideous.

I just refuse to play. It's gross.
