When my parents come to visit they are always equipped with books. My mom usually buys books while she's here, too. And then they talk about their book club books. We are a family who loves to read.
Since I know I'm always on the look-out for good book club selections, I thought I'd share with you their book club's website. It's called "Food for Thought", and it has archives going back several years. If you're like me, you see a book club list and want to read them all immediately.

The thing I found most interesting about the list was looking at which picks were Mom and Dad's. Some of Dad's picks were fairly predictable as to what he'd like to read, but others were out of left field. I mean, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Dad? Really? But then again, maybe that's not so far off of Kilgore Trout. Jack Kerouac, though? Hmmm...
I was also pleasantly surprised to see how many of the books on their list I had already read, and how many are already on my "to read" list. Makes me feel like maybe I'm keeping up after all.
Does Mom have anything other than Al on her Kindle yet???
